PSI provides the following solutions for your PCMCIA wireless cards:

1. USB readers/adapters:

Now we are shipping EL-U111 and  EL-U142 USB external readers for wireless modem PC cards. Please click on the USB adapter model names to check if your wireless card is supported. None of the above readers will support Aircard 875.

Note: 
1. If your wireless card is not listed as the supported card or if you are using a Mac, please do not try and do not call! The EL-U111 & U142 USB readers will not work! 
2. Our statistics shows that even if your card is in the Supported Cards list, due to a combination of problems involving your PC, it's OS setup, your wireless card's driver and wireless carrier, etc., 
3. If your laptop PC has an ExpressCard slot instead of the PCMCIA slot, we suggest that you use our single-slot ExpressCard Slot Adapter for your PCMCIA 3G cards.
4. For desktop PC users, you can use a PCI-based internal reader below as a cheaper alternative !

2. PCI internal readers/adapters:

Most of the wireless cards on the market now are 32-bit cardbus cards so you have to use a PCI-based internal 32-bit PC card reader like PCD-110CS, PCD-202CS, PCD-101CS, P222,  etc.. Click here. 
Cingular, Verizon, etc. also offer some 16-bit 3G/EDGE wireless cards. If you are sure your card is a 16-bit one, you can also use the 16-bit front-mount readers like PCD-220E and P423. Not sure if your card is 16 or 32-bit? Click here to see the difference. 32-bit PC cards have the gold/copper plated edge on the insertion end.

The success rate of these PCI-based internal PC card read-writers  for Verizon or Sierra Aircards or Kyocera or Novatel, or Qualcomm, etc. wireless cards is about 95%. The failure is due to a  complex combination of your PC hardware, it's BIOS, your O/S setup and your wireless modem driver. Windows 98, ME & XP normally has fewer problems than Windows 2000.

Compatible wireless 3G PC cards by U.S. wireless carriers:

The table below lists each carrier's offered 3G card models. Some are supported by Elan USB adapters. These same models may also be offered by a different carrier at a later time. The USB adapters do not discriminate against carrier, as long as your 3G card model is shown as supported it will work.

These Cards also will work: Sierra Wireless Aircard 860 Sierra Wireless Aircard 775	These cards are only supported by the EL-U111 model.  Windows Manual Modem Connection Only.  The Cingular user software will not work. Please check here for instructions.
The Following Cards Do Not Work- a) Sony Ericsson GC75 b) Sony Ericsson GC79 c) Sony Ericsson GC82 d) Sony Ericsson GC83 e) Option GlobeTrotter GT MAX f) Option GlobeTrotter COMBO EDGE	These cards are neither supported by the EL-U111 nor the EL-U142 adapter. The user should contact Cingular and get a different card.  For desktop PC users, you can use the 32-bit PCI internal readers, PCD-202CS or PCD-TP-110CS.

Recommended Card: Novatel Wireless Merlin S620 Network Card	This card is only supported by the EL-U132 or U142 adapter.  The Sprint user interface software works.
These Cards also will work: a) Sierra Wireless Aircard 580, 595 b) Audiovoc PC5740	a) These cards are only by the EL-U132 or U142  adapter.  The Sprint user interface software works with Reg Patch which is included on Elan CD. b) This card is  supported by the EL-U132 or U142 adapter.  The Windows Manual Modem Connection Only.  The Sprint user software will not work. The Following Cards Do Not Work- a) AirPrime PC3200  b) CF 2031 c) Novatel Wireless Merlin C201 Network Card d) Sierra Wireless Aircard 550	These cards are neither supported by the EL-U111 or the EL-U142 adapter. The user should contact Sprint  and get a new card. For desktop PC users, you can use the 32-bit PCI internal readers, PCD-202CS or PCD-TP-110CS.

The Following Cards Do Not Work- a) Audiovox PC 3220  b) Sierra Wireless Aircard 555D	These cards are neither supported by the EL-U111 n or the EL-U142 adapter. The user should contact Verizon and get a new card. For desktop PC users, you can use the 32-bit PCI internal readers, PCD-202CS or PCD-TP-110CS.

These Cards Do Not Work- a) Sony Ericsson GC79 b) Sony Ericsson GC89 c) Sierra Wireless Aircard 750  d) Novatel Wireless Merlin G100 Card e) Dell TrueMobile 5100 Tri-band GPRS PC Card 750	T-Mobile cards are not supported by either the EL-U111 or the EL-U132 adapter. For desktop PC users, you can use the 32-bit PCI internal readers, PCD-202CS or PCD-TP-110CS. The end user should contact other carrier and get a new card.
