Stay connected to the Internet using your Windows Mobile device along with a Socket SDIO 56K Modem with V.92 and V.90 technology. Perfect for checking email, faxing or browsing the web from a remote office, hotel room or home. Ideal when Wi-Fi or cellular coverage is not available.

*Faster – Send and receive email up to twice as fast as other modems. V.92 boost upstream data rates between the user’s Internet Service Provider (ISP) to reduce upload time for large files and email attachments. In addition, V.92 uses higher data compression ratios, which increases the data throughput speed up to twice as fast as other V.90 only modems.

*Quicker – Connect to the Internet up to 50% faster. The Socket SDIO 56K modem comes with Quick Connect, a V.92 feature. This feature shortens the time it takes to make a connection by remembering phone line characteristics and storing them for later use.

*Advanced Features – Modem-On-Hold and Caller ID. Don’t worry about missing that important call. The modem will signal your PDA whenever incoming calls arrive and allow you to answer without dropping your Internet connection. With Caller ID you can see who is calling when you’re still connected.

Software – Socket offers three great software utilities for Windows Mobile.

1. The Socket Connection Setup Wizard makes it easy to set up dial-up connections, so you don’t have to manually configure all the settings.
2. The Socket Modem-On-Hold, utility alerts you whenever incoming calls arrive and allows you to accept or make phone calls without dropping an Internet connection.
3. The Modem Status Applet provides connection rate information so you know what speed your connected.

You can also program the modem to work in any country – great for international travelers!
